As part of the celebration of the Inauguration of the much-awaited Metrorail of Bangladesh on 28th December 2022, the Bangladesh Bank (BB) will release commemorative notes of Taka 50. The notes will be unveiled at the time of the opening ceremony by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Design and Security features of commemorative notes of Taka 50 by BB
The measurement of the new note is 130 x 60 millimeter signed by BB governor Mr. Abdur Rouf Talukder. At the front part of the note, left side is imprinted with the portrait of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and picture of Metrorail printed horizontally on both sides. The headline is on the front of the note “বাঁচবে সময়, বাঁচবে পরিবেশ, যানজট কমাবে মেট্রোরেল” on the back side “Moving People, Saving Time and Environment”.
Special Features of the note:
This commemorative note of Taka 50 is printed on 100% cotton paper. On the front of the note, there is a Security Thread of 2 on the right side of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s portrait, and on the right, there is a portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 50, and the Monogram of Bangladesh Bank. A special varnish coating is applied to both sides of the note.

For memorizing the nation’s most desired and craved project Metrorail BB issued this commemorative note of Taka 50 which will be available on the next day (29 December 2022) of Metrorail opening from Bangladesh Bank Head Office, Motijheel and thereafter at the Barishal Office, Bogura Office, Chattogram Office, Khulna Office, Mymensingh Office, Rajshahi Office, Rangpur Office, Sadarghat Office and Sylhet Office the of Bangladesh Bank.
